For week 8 of the 52 planners in 52 weeks challenge I used the Plum Paper Memory Keeper Book. See my review of the notebook in this post.
Review of the Plum Paper Memory Keepers Book
It has almost the same layout as the left page of the Plum Paper Horizontal Lined weekly planner but without the month at a glance section (which I think is a waste of planning space anyway).
Update: I use this layout for pre-planning the week. More on my proccess in this post.
This notebook is 7″ wide x 9″ high and is undated – it’s designed for memory keeping for your kids or journaling but I decided to turn it into a weekly planner instead.

Before The Pen
I was going to make stickers that fit the width of each of the columns but then I figured I’d just use header stickers – they fit the 3 boxes in the vertical Erin Condren life planner but also fit the width of the Plum Paper Planner 🙂
I went for a rainbow colored theme this week (which probably doesn’t come as a surprise!) I decided to color code by category and time. My categories were:
- Don’t forget (business)
- Don’t forget (personal)
- Must do
- Should do
- If I have time
- Personal
- Cleaning
- Meal Plan
I tried to keep business and blog stuff to the left and personal stuff to the right so that everything was neatly separated.
Note: I peeled off the stickers a little bit because the perfectionist in me wanted the stickers evening spaced in the top box. Most label paper is forgiving and you can usually lift them up a couple of times but I did it a few too many hence why the corners are a little crinkled. Note that I was using non-removable matte label paper.
End of the week..
I tried to stick to just 3 tasks per category – working with the rule of 3 idea.
Stickers used in this spread:
- Social media tracking – I left the Twitter column blank as I don’t use Twitter. I use the laptop for days I posted on the blog and the other icons are self-explanatory 🙂
- Weekly routine habit tracker. (Printable in my shop. Printed & kiss cut is in my sister’s shop)
- Healthy Habits weekly routine
- Top 3
- Weekly spending
- Don’t forget header stickers
- Meal plan stickers
- Cleaning stickers
- Personal stickers
- Must do, should do and if I have time stickers
Want to choose our own titles / categories? I have editable printable header stickers in my printables shop.
Pens Used
You can probably guess – the PaperMate Inkjoy Gel 0.7mm 🙂
Would I use this layout again?
I think I would!
- I liked that it was nice and simple and everything was condensed on the one page
- Categorising tasks according to priority of importance and timeframe is something I should do more often as it helped me focus on what to do first rather than getting overwhelmed
- There wasn’t a lot of room to write so it prevented me from over-scheduling
- The don’t forget section was a good idea but it only ended up being big enough for 1 task for personal and 1 task for business related – these tasks probably could have been moved to the ‘personal’ and the ‘must do’ sections instead
- Liked the white space/blank line between each category – the white space kept the layout neat and tidy
What I’d change if I used this layout again:
- I would probably swap out the spending sticker and put another top 3 sticker. I use my budget binder to track spending. I take receipts out of my wallet at the end of the week and record them so I don’t really need to record them twice using the sticker. Instead I’d replace the spending sticker with a second top 3 sticker so that I’d have one for business top 3 tasks and another for top 3 tasks for personal
- The don’t forget section was a good idea but I ended up putting tasks in this section that could have gone in the must do section
- I’d probably take out the cleaning section and just stick to using a habit tracker so it wouldn’t be ‘doubling up’
- Instead of writing out the letters for each day in the meal planning section I’d use days of the week stickers or stamps as that section ended up looking a bit cluttered
