Week 37 was the week of the Brisbane Planner markets! Most of the week revolved around planning for that so since I didn’t have too much to plan, I opted to use the Bloom weekly planner notepad combined with a bujo style daily planner (which will be in an upcoming post!)

Setting up the week
The thing I like about weekly notepads are that they are almost always undated so you can start using them anytime. I tend to use notepads when I don’t have too many things to plan as they’re only 1 page as opposed to a 2 page weekly spread typically found in planners.

I opted to keep it simple and just use a black pen. I used my favorite: the Frixion erasable. The paper of the notepad feels a bit rough and thick. The Frixion pens erased but not as cleanly as normal printer paper or other planners I’ve used.
Each daily box is shaded to create 2 sections – I opted to use the left side for blog post planning and reminders and the right side for meal planning. It was enough space for this week but if I had a busier week I’d run out of room quickly.
Pros of the Bloom Weekly Planner notepad
- See everything on the one page
- Can tear off and take it with you or Arc it and add to your planner along with other printables
- Habit tracker
- Priorities list
- Undated – start planning anytime
- Affordable – enough sheets on each notepad to plan an entire year
- No extra pages e.g. monthly calendar, dates at a glance etc. so this would be a good companion notepad if you need a second planner e.g. for blog planning or something more portable without having to pay for a duplicate planner or carry 2 planners around
- Daily hydrate tracker
- The colors! <3
Cons of the Bloom Weekly Planner notepad
- Almost weekend planning space – the weekend banner is cute but it waste a lot of space
- Not much space for daily planning
- If I had a busy week the weekly checklist wouldn’t be enough space
- The ‘this week’s act of kindness’ space is a bit of wasted space
- I used the Frixion erasable pen which didn’t erase as well as on the paper of other planners
Would I use this planner again?
This would made a good blog planner or a second planner e.g. if you want to keep work and personal plans separate. It’s an affordable alternative to a traditional weekly planner if you don’t have too much to plan and aren’t interested in planner decorating.
I would only use this planner again if I didn’t have much planned for the week. The very minimal weekend planning space is the biggest disappointment.
