Officeworks is a place I frequently visit during my lunch break! I’d seen this A4 undated planner before and resisted, but this time I couldn’t say no!
Using a simple undated A4 planner to plan the week
Whenever I look at a planner layout I immediately start thinking of what to plan in each section. I liked that this planner had a built-in checklist for each day, the graph paper which would be ideal for habit tracking and the large open-ended daily planning boxes.
The planner comes with a weather tracking section which I opted to cover up using gold washi tape. I decided to continue the gold / sparkly theme and used the KaiserKraft color pens – one of the few pen brands I’ve found where you can actually see the yellow / gold ink).
This week’s planning key:
- Pink = Blog posts
- Green = Etsy shop
- Yellow = Meal Planning
- Purple = Personal

I wanted to keep each section with their own color and really like how the spread looked after I’d finished planning!
Setting up the week
I decided to use the in-built checklist for blog & Etsy shop tasks.
I had the main task and use arrows to signify sub-tasks / the steps involved to complete that task.

I was excited when I saw this planner had an in built graph section – perfect for habit tracking! The boxes were just the right size with just the right amount of space to write the habits and still leave white space between them so it didn’t end up being bunched up.
There was space to record the color key for the week. If I used this planner every week I’d put a top 3 sticker here (similar to week 8 of the 52 Planners in 52 Weeks Challenge).
Each of the boxes provided plenty of planning space (for once I actually didn’t fill up each day’s section!)
Weekends are not combined in this planner – they have the same amount of planning space as the rest of the week (love when planners do this!)
Supplies Used
I used the KaiserKraft Kaiser Colour Glitter Gel Pens. They write really nice but they did smudge a bit if I wasn’t careful and gave the ink a couple of seconds to dry. You can actually see the yellow ink of this pen brand.
I used thin gold washi tape from my sister’s planner supplies store.

Pros of the Officeworks undated planner
- Undated so you can start planning any time
- Open ended layout that you can modify to suit your own needs
- Cheap – this planner was only $10 (it has 50 weekly spreads)
- Light – weighs hardly anything
- Unlike most planners that are stitched / book bound style rather than spiral binding, this one actually lays flat no matter what page you have it open to
- The A4 size provided lots of room to plan
- The space in the top left could be covered with a top 3 or weekly goals (or other) planner sticker
- The graph / grid is the perfect size for habit tracking
- In-built checklists save time not having to draw them up yourself (and the checklist is lined)
The planner is very, very thin – the thinnest planner I’ve come across to date!
Cons of the Officeworks undated planner
- If you’re someone that prefers dates pre-written, this planner may not be a good fit for you
- The weather tracking space is a bit of dead space – I’d need to cover this up with washi tape or whiteout each week
- No lines in the daily planning boxes
Would I use this planner again?
I liked the simplicity of this week’s spread but I think it could get a bit boring after a while. It was very functional and there was lots of room for checklists but I wish I’d added some icon planner stickers or header stickers to the spread. I also prefer planners that have lined writing space. If I used this layout again I think I’d split the box into 2 to create 3 sections for each day.
