Plum Paper have affordable planners in a variety of layouts: my favorite is the ‘Me Planner’ layout. As I try more planners for the 52 Planners in 52 Weeks challenge, I’m finding I prefer planners that focus on planning by category – the Me Planner is perfect for that if you plan in a similar way!

Mentioned in the video:

- How I modified the Erin Condren teacher planner into a weekly planner
- Limelife planners layout C (similar to the Plum Paper Me Planner shown in the video)
- The sakura gelly roll white pen I talked about in the video (I did a video with the other pens I bought from that shop here!)
The Cover
You can personlise the cover from their many options. I chose this herringbone pattern (also got it in a pink and green color scheme).
Note: the planners are spiral bound. I requested the planner sent unpunched so I could use it with the Arc disc rings. MAMBI / The Happy Planner also do discs if you want the ability to add and remove pages as you please! Read more about why I did this in this post: Arcing my Plum Paper Planner – everything you need to know if you’d like to try it yourself!
The color quality is great – I would prefer if the clear cover was laminated rather than a cardstock cover with the clear cover separate.
I purchased the 18 month version which made the planner quite fat!

The monthly calendar
Starts on a Sunday.
Has a large lined section that can be turned into a checklist. There’s no title so use it for anything you like!
US holidays are pre-printed.
Unfortunately the planner has my biggest pet hate when it comes to planners: splitting boxes into 2 rather than starting numbering from the top line again.

The weekly spread
Unlike the monthly calendar, the weekly spread starts on a Monday (I will never understand why planner companies do this!)
The weekly spread has lots of room to plan! Choose up to 7 categories. This planner would be ideal for a student, blogger or a mum keeping track of each family member’s schedules. When I used this planner for week week 29 of the 52 Planners in 52 Weeks challenge I chose these categories:
- Blog posts
- Maintenance Tasks
- Top 3
- If I have time
- Melbourne trip planning
- Europe trip planning
- Meal Planning
There was just the right amount of planning space for each category, for each day.
The sidebar doesn’t have a title so you can use it for anything you like such as:
- Groceries
- Shopping list
- Cleaning tasks
- Weekly habits
- Tasks to do if you have time
Each of the Plum Paper planners have the same ‘core’ pages including:
This belongs to
In case your planner is lost
Dates at a glance pages
The subtle ombre effect is very pretty (the photo doesn’t do it justice!)
Monthly Planning pages
Because I used the Arc punch and opted to make this a discbound planner I could add extra notes pages to each month, checklists etc. – it provides much more ability to customise the planner than normal spiral binding.
The monthly planning page features sections for goal setting, birthdays, events, things to remember and choose your own lists (e.g. cleaning, school assessment due dates etc.)
Notes pages
The paper quality feels really good – nice and smooth to write on.
Tabs
The tabs are cardstock with laminate.
The covers are wide enough to cover the tabs and protect them from getting damaged
Each month features a subtle pattern in a different color – the pop of color on the entire divider makes it easy to find the month you’re looking for – as well as the start letter for that month in the bottom right corner (love the attention to detail!)
Checklist pages
Love that these are blank so you can use them for anything you like!
Pocket Folder
Each planner also comes with a pocket folder at the back!
Pros of the Me Planner
- 7 sections – more than most planners!
- Functional layout
- Multiple page sizes
- Sturdy tabs
- Option to discbind your planner (or use with a 3 ring hole punch)
- Affordable price tag
- Personalised cover
- Comes with lined pages & checklists
- Pocket folder
- Paper that is super smooth to write on!
- Option to add additional pages
- Option to have the categories pre-printed (so you don’t have to hand-write them)
Cons of the Me Planner
- The category labels space is small
Would I use this planner?
Yes! I used it for week 29 of the 52 Planners in 52 Weeks challenge which is still one of my favorite weekly spreads to date! A similar alternative is the Limelife Planners Weekly Layout C option and converting the Erin Condren Teacher Planner or the Bloom teacher planner into a personal planner.
